Rob is a technical specialist at Van Abeelen. He once started as an intern, then worked as a holiday worker and assistant mechanic, and grew into the role he has now.
Twelve years later, he is still learning. Technically and personally. And that exact fact says a lot about working at Van Abeelen.
From intern to technical specialist
Rob knows the practice firsthand. He knows what it is like to start at the bottom, ask questions, and take on more responsibility step by step.
He now works on complex projects and looks back with pride on projects at Compaxo and Quick Frozen, among others. He was the installation manager for both projects. There he learned a lot and saw how preparation, craftsmanship, and teamwork come together.
Growth does not stop
Rob is proud of his development. Not because he is “finished,” but precisely because he continues to grow. A lot changes in refrigeration technology. Systems are becoming smarter, more sustainable, and more complex. That is what makes the profession challenging.
