An international biodiesel producer in the Randstad expanded its production capacity on a large scale. During the construction of a co-processing plant, temporary process cooling was needed to accelerate the processing of residual products from the refining process.
Van Abeelen Rental Solutions supplied a temporary cooling tower installation with approximately 5 MW cooling capacity and a flow rate of 800 m³/h cooling tower water.
Cooling solution in complex EPC environment
This project took place in a combination of existing production and new construction. Therefore, the temporary installation had to fit within a strict project framework with limited space, high safety requirements, and a lot of coordination with the EPC team.

More than just cooling capacity
Van Abeelen was involved already in the commissioning phase. In addition to the cooling technology, Rental Solutions also considered process requirements, space constraints, HSE, risk reviews, document control, staffing, A1 declarations, and cost control.
The installation was delivered, installed and put into operation at a single transparent lump-sum all-in price. This gave the client direct cooling capacity and control over planning, safety and costs.
