Heat pumps are an energy-efficient way to heat buildings and processes and, depending on the system, also cool them. They extract heat from air, water, or the ground and bring it to a usable temperature level. In this way, a building can be comfortably heated with less use of fossil heat sources.<\/p>\n

Van Abeelen Klimaattechniek advises, designs, and installs heat pumps for commercial applications. From air\/water heat pumps for buildings to water\/water systems for larger or more complex situations. We look at the heat demand, the delivery system, insulation, usage, and integration with existing installations.<\/p>\n

Heat pumps for businesses and buildings<\/h2>\n

A heat pump is attractive for companies that want to make their operations more sustainable, save energy, or become less dependent on gas. The technology can be applied in offices, commercial premises, production sites, sports facilities, healthcare buildings, and other utility buildings.<\/p>\n

The success of a heat pump heavily depends on the design. The source, the emission system, the desired temperature, and the control system must align well with each other. Therefore, Van Abeelen always starts with a technical assessment of the situation.<\/p>\n

Air\/water and water\/water heat pumps<\/h2>\n

With an air\/water heat pump, heat is extracted from the outdoor water and transferred to water for heating or domestic hot water preparation. With a water\/water heat pump, the heat comes from water or the ground. Both systems have their own scope of application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Heating, cooling and smart combination<\/h2>\n

In addition to heating, many heat pumps can also cool. This makes the technology interesting for buildings that require both heating and cooling. Combined with air handling units, chillers, or existing climate control systems, a heat pump can become part of a complete climate control system.<\/p>\n

Van Abeelen looks at the entire installation. Where is heat needed? Where is cooling needed? What temperatures does the building require? And how can the control system be set up so that the system runs stably and efficiently?<\/p>\n

Sustainable heating with technical certainty<\/h2>\n

A heat pump must suit the building and its usage. A system that is too small will not provide sufficient comfort. A system that is too large may cycle unnecessarily often and operate less efficiently. Therefore, we pay a great deal of attention to sizing, hydraulics, and control.<\/p>\n

Maintenance and service are also important. A heat pump is a technical system that must continue to function reliably, especially when it takes over a large part of the heat supply.<\/p>\n
